I always post a comment on your last blog, just as you make a new one.. Time and Space isn't what it seems around these here parts.

Yeah... I live in the twilight zone.

I did.

I'm sorry.

I like the cut of your jib, it draws blood.. With a pencil.

I reviewed one of your songs, try to guess which one without looking or even visiting the NG page or without even guessing, just imagine.. Because all we have is imagination.. and real thought.. and everything else.. on top.. like a candle on a cake.. We need to collaborate on a track in the near.. or distant future.. and create musical fusion.. or something.. The music industry is dying.. we can save it.. by killing it.

Jun. 30, 2009 | 1:29 PM NeverHundred responds:

You mention the music industry dying I have two songs that directly cover that topic, "I Hate Music" and "Bad Skillz" the later was uploaded with my last batch so I'd guess that one. But it could be anything...

I've always wanted to finish a real collab. But they always seem to fail. I am never sure how much I'm expected to contribute to the project. If it's too much I feel over whelmed, too little I feel like I'm not really participating in the creative process. I don't even know if I'm able finish a collaboration I'd be more willing to start one.

As a musician it is a pain to witness my art form dying. Especially when I have nothing to fall back on. I don't have much confidence in my skill as a musician, but it's actually the only thing I'm any good at. It's kind of scary when I think about it...

Edit: Dirgesinger! Of course. That song is also about the death of music. I'm a very redundant artist. Although it was more about emo and goth cliques and music...

Jun. 30, 2009 | 7:34 PM nietzlawe says:

MTV is dominant and an harmful representation of music as an art form.

But what is music but the motion of our hands hitting an object or playing a sound.

A lot of times, making music comes from within, the ability to feel the emotion, to connect with binaural frequencies.

Jun. 30, 2009 | 9:35 PM NeverHundred responds:

I didn't know that MTV had anything to do with music.

Jun. 30, 2009 | 7:37 PM nietzlawe says:

Music can be made anywhere and by anyone. It shows arrogance when the fatcats of the music industry say, "we know what music should sound like" as though they own the blueprint for the creation of sound.

Sound is primative and you can get great music anywhere, whether its amateur or professional.

Jun. 30, 2009 | 9:41 PM NeverHundred responds:

That's what I get from it. The problem is if you are a musician and you want to make survive and dedicate as much energy and effort as you can into your art... you're nearly forced to play by there rules, or even worse become entirely integrated into their corporate world.

The artist who stays outside of the industry can still create great music... they just will find it much more difficult to make a living off of it.

Jul. 1, 2009 | 12:15 AM nietzlawe says:

That's the thing, you have to decide whether you want to make money from making music to make a living? Or do you alternatively want to make music for free, just because its a labour of love?

Its like you said, if you want to make money from it, then you will have to compromise and have your stuff watered down to the point of water... If you're lucky, you might get the opportunity to remain diluted.

There is a false happiness on the music channels, every song has the word 'love' in, it seems to be a mandatory requirement, like the wrestler Mankind having the Mandible Claw as his wrestling trademark finisher.

Okay, bad analogy.

Jul. 1, 2009 | 2:35 PM NeverHundred responds:

I think there are some good bands who manage to get away with creating the music they want to while still getting it sold. You wont see them on MTV or hear them on the radio or at the clubs. But there are underground labels, they can sell there music... it's like they're semi-soldout. They managed to sell only a part of their soul.

Jul. 3, 2009 | 12:16 AM Sensationalism says:

You should sell all of your soul...to me. :P

Jul. 3, 2009 | 5:48 PM NeverHundred responds:

I would if that were possible. It's not lkike anyone uses there soul, it's like your appendix, what the crap does it do? nothing...

But I don't have a soul so I can't sell it.

Jul. 3, 2009 | 4:25 PM Sinitech says:

Silly Sensationalism. Thinking you have a soul.

Jul. 3, 2009 | 5:48 PM NeverHundred responds:

I know. pfft, I'm a shaman. We don't have souls.

Jul. 4, 2009 | 4:41 PM NeverHundred responds:

WTF!!! I don't understand. I never really listened to Blondie, I don't understand... though I wish I did.

Jul. 5, 2009 | 4:09 AM Nacale says:

I liked it.....(not really, but lets say I did. M'kay?).

Jul. 6, 2009 | 3:43 AM NeverHundred responds:

Aw... oh well. Next time it will be better. I promise.

Jul. 5, 2009 | 10:52 PM nietzlawe says:

L-O-O-K behind you! There is even a pair of glasses in the word 'look' to help you in your long quest, where you search for the legitimate 'edit', there are many, but be warned, most are frauds, merely 'edits' in disguise, only one is the real one, it is your duty, your mission to find out which.

Or not.

Jul. 6, 2009 | 3:45 AM NeverHundred responds:

I shall accept your challange. And I will raise you on Norwegian Swiss Roll... is it Norwegian or is it Swiss... perhaps it has a heritage along both lines. Who's to say...

I have actually been on and off reading through that story. It's good and all but I always find myself getting pulled away from the computer after about 3.32 minutes.

Jul. 6, 2009 | 9:32 AM Stickman91 says:

Ah, but which edited edit does that edit concern, and on which edited song have you performed that edit?

Wow, the word "edit" has now lost all meaning to me.

Jul. 6, 2009 | 12:29 PM NeverHundred responds:

That is what happens when you use a word too often, it loses meaning. And that is why we have synonyms.

Jul. 6, 2009 | 11:43 AM andhination says:

It's one of their songs.
Debbie Harry is in fact the singer in Blondie.
AS <3 DH

Jul. 6, 2009 | 12:32 PM NeverHundred responds:

That's like a band my mom used to like. Along with The Cars and Patty Smith... back when female vocalists were actually taken serious when it came to rock music. You had the female song writer movement in the nineties which was good, but I don't feel as if those musicians were taken as seriously as they should have been, outside of a few smaller groups of people who liked them. Also they weren't exactly rock...
