[S] He Died How He Lived...

"Flamboyent"

date: October 23, 2009

Although the melody is simple and repeatative, it's still okay. But I've been jamming to a lot of eighties pop songs lately so if I say it's good than that really isn't saying much. As for the ending... it ended how it began, flaming.

Eighties pop songs?

Eighties?!

Say Goodbye Forever

"nice"

date: August 21, 2009

Repetitive but it is supposed to be a loop so I can't hold that agianst it. And since that's the only compliant than it's damn near perfect. It's kind of a laid back relaxing tune, great for a simple puzzle game.

Author's Response:

why thank you! I'm glad you liked it. i've always wished somebody would put my music is a semi popular game.

Tropicana.

"cool"

submission: Tropicana.
date: August 19, 2009

Pretty well put together. Sounds exactly like something I'd expect to hear from tropical themed side-scroller from the nineties or maybe a piratey puzzle game!

Author's Response:

Thank you :D Now all i need is a guy from some place to make a tropical game so it could contain this sunny piece of music :).

Evocation Madness Extravaganza

"Epic"

date: July 11, 2009

I listened to the other song you uploaded recently and I had to check out more of your work. I'm not one of those people who uses that adjective lightly, this is really amazing. This song has such an easy flow to it. It seems like there is such an attention to detail, what makes this music so great is it's subtlety, although there is a lot going on it doesn't quite overwhelm as much as one would expect.

This is brilliant work.

Author's Response:

Wow, thanks... got me speechless for a minute there. :D

Some of my friends actually complain about the slowness of progress when I create something, 'cause of the details. I say there are things that need to ripen for a period of time before they can be pronounced good, or at least decent. Then there are others, that by definition are good because of their innate spontaneity, like grunge music or nature photography. This song started out as neither :)

Peace!

Ballad of the baker

"it's very interesting"

date: July 11, 2009

in a good way. It might start off iffy, but it really gets very good and it never gets boring or dull. It covers so much ground to, the way the energy just fluctuates so nicely and easily without it sounding the slightest bit out of place.

All Day Every Day

"I kind of like it"

submission: All Day Every Day
date: July 11, 2009

The intro was alright, and I like the general chord progression. I kind of had some issues with the lead synth, there were some parts that seemed badly out of key, and in a few cased some rhythms that also seemed a bit off with it.

But that didn't bother me all that much. It didn't really ruin the song for me. It's not bad.

Conventional Insanity

"Nice."

date: July 1, 2009

I like the bass in the beginning, piano was alright but I was still a bit unsure of the song. But you had me when the beat broke through. It was really intense, wild and everything I'd like to hear in a beat. The melody picked up and was great too, but that beat is what really made the song for me.

July 1, 2009

Author's Response:

Well the rhythms in the percussion was 100% Kaizer's work. So I can take no credit for any of that part of the song. He is really good at coming up with cool rhythms, so I don't even bother when we collab to mess with the percussion. What he comes up with is always gonna be 10X better.

Glad you liked the song. And thanks for the review!

Yes, Phobotech's quite good at what he does.

Which is hardly anything, actually. Fucking procrastinator.
