I'm torn on how to respond to this. On the one hand I could go with option A. "Yeah, I didn't copy paste and recounted the quote by memory. I could have easily got a few things mixed up and it's not exactly what he said. Anyway it's close enough should I put a [sic] after it? Does it matter that much?"
